A side view of space shuttle Atlantis with engines blazing during the launch of mission STS-117 on June 8, 2007.

This image has been featured in the following groups:

This photograph was made from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station along the Banana River Causeway, about 8 miles from pad 39A. This launch began mission STS-117 which delivered the starboard truss segment and solar panel array to the International Space Station. This was the same launch that afterwards created the image "Dragon's Breath and Venus".
