Lady of the Night is a South American cactus frequently utilized in landscapes in Florida and throughout the Caribbean.
Cereus hexagonus is a large shrubby or tree-like cactus that usually branches near the ground. Distinguished by having stems over 10cm (4 in.) in diameter and typically six or sometimes fewer ribs (ridges). Large whote flowers open at night and remain open for a while in the morning. The fruit is pale red and egg-shaped up to 13cm (5-1/8 in.) long.
