The Ocklawaha River was one of Florida's earliest tourist attractions with small river steamboats taking people from ports on the St. Johns River to Silver Springs, now a state park. The sections of the Ocklawaha from the Silver River to Eureka and from the Rodman Dam to the St. Johns are some of the most scenic waterways in the state.
