Artist's Description

The bend of the Tennessee River around Elder Mountain as viewed from Snooper's Rock along the Cumberland Trail in Prentice Cooper State Forest, Tennessee. Snooper's rock is in the foreground, with Elder Mountain directly across the river. The slopes of the Tennessee River Gorge are sprinkled with autumn colors. The Tennessee River Gorge is sometimes called Tennessee's Grand Canyon.
