The nearby mountains pictured here are in the Blood Mountain Wilderness Area and also the Chestatee Wildlife Management Area, with the entire view encompassing a just a part of the Chattahoochee National Forest in north Georgia. This photograph was made in December while backpacking a section of the Appalachian Trail.
